What is the All-Night Party (ANP)?
The All-Night Party is a fun-filled, safe, entertaining, substance-free, chaperoned celebration that has traditionally been enjoyed by 85% of the graduation class at Troy High. The party is chaperoned by Troy High administrators, teachers and many Troy High parents. All-inclusive tickets cover great refreshments all night, midway and casino games, volleyball, live music, ping pong, limbo contests, fortune telling, tie dye t-shirts, photo booths, wax hands, boxer bingo, bull-ride, a hypnotist show, new activities and many chances to win some fabulous prizes. Again, no need for extra cash once the ticket is purchased ... it is all inclusive!
Where and when is the party?
The ANP is held at Troy High School the night of graduation. So this school year it is Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 9 pm until 5 am. Students are admitted until 10 pm and then not released until 5 am on Sunday, June 10, 2018.
How do I get an ANP ticket?
Tickets can be purchased at the Main Office by the student or the parent (they make a great gift idea!) Tickets cost $50 through the end of the first semester, Thursday, January 18. Tickets cost $60 until the last day of school before spring break, Wednesday, March 28. Tickets then cost $75 until the day of cap and gown distribution, Wednesday, June 6. Purchase tickets at the door the night of the party for $100. Please make checks payable to THANP.
Do I get an actual ticket I need to bring to the party?
No, there is no physical ticket. Once a ticket has been purchased, the student's name will go on a list displayed at school and on our website. When he/she shows up at the party, the name will be on that list. No need to worry about lost tickets this way.
Can I purchase a ticket for someone else or as a surprise for my student?
Yes! When you buy the ticket just state whom the ticket is for. If you want to keep it a surprise, note this also. As the ANP nears, a list is put up in the main hall to show students who is attending. If you want to keep the ticket a surprise, we can keep your student's name off this list.
What if I buy a ticket and cannot make the party?
There are no refunds except under extenuating family circumstances. In such a case, the family should submit a request in writing to the principal.
What if I don't remember if I purchased a ticket?
We'll display an updated list of attendees at school and on our website.
How can I help with the party?
We'd LOVE to have your help! Last year, over 200 parents volunteers worked together to make this party happen. If you'd like to volunteer to work one of the shifts, click on the volunteer tab to choose your time and task using Sign-Up Genius. If you'd like to be on our planning team, call the front office at 248-823-2700. We're always looking for activity leaders for next year (there are many committees) if you have younger students coming along!
Can parents attend?
That depends ...
1. Any parent who wishes to preview the party can check out the gym at 7:30 PM, Saturday June 10.
2. Parents can volunteer for a shift during the party. This is a fun way to help and watch the brand new grads enjoy their last big event at Troy High as they celebrate their graduation. It's a lot of fun for parents to participate in the night's events. There are two shifts: 1st Shift - 8:30pm-11:45pm 2nd Shift - 11:15pm-2:30am.
We do ask that once parents are done with their shift they leave the building though! This keeps the number of people in the building down and lets kids have their party without feeling like parents are everywhere!
What kind of prizes are given out?
This differs from year to year, but lots of good ones! Everything from gift cards and electronics to Vera Bradley bags and men's suits.
What should my child wear?
Many kids wear shorts and their college t-shirts since the gym gets pretty warm, but bring along a sweatshirt for the final assembly in the auditorium.
What if my child gets sick or needs to leave the party before 5 am?
The parent will be called by the principal and asked to come pick up the child.
Are cell phones allowed at the party?
Yes! We'll be tweeting updates to the kids throughout the night, too! We don't want anyone missing out on our fun activities!
Can students bring in a purse or backpack?
Yes, but they may prefer to leave their belongings in the secured bag room which is accessible to students all night. However, the security team will be searching bags at the entrance to eliminate beverages and unauthorized items.
